The Freshmen Student Council members participate in activities for the
students, the school, and the community. School projects include Friday
night dances, Homecoming Week activities, teacher treats, and an end-of-year
party. Recent Student Council community projects aided Moss Regional Hospital
and Calcasieu Women's Shelter. Interested students should make application
through the sponsor.
The Sophomore Student Council is made up of student leaders who represent
the sophomore class. Members are involved in school and community service.
Applications are available from the sponsors.
The Junior Student Council is a student government group for junior students
who are selected by the sponsor according to teacher recommendation. Although
the Junior Student Council has many projects, its major responsibility
is Prom. Students sign up for Junior Student Council by making application
in May before their junior year.
Senior students may apply for membership in the Senior Student Council
if they have a 2.0 or better GPA. Officers must be full-time students and
must have been previous Student Council members. This Council plans an
annual service project, usually at Christmas, as well as senior specific
activities such as Senior Week.
